A SWOT analysis is an intentional and thoughtful evaluation of a business's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. It should be conducted at least quarterly and is a helpful tool for recognizing and building upon strengths, strengthening known weaknesses, capitalizing on opportunities, and minimizing threats to a business.
A SWOT analysis should be repeated on a regular basis and can help businesses identify things in their environment that could be a threat or provide an opportunity to increase revenue. It is important to be radically honest with oneself in order to have an objective evaluation of the business.
